About Us
Marlette Golf Course is a 9 hole USGA rated par 36 course built in the early 1960's. We are located in Marlette, Michigan, a small community in the heart of the thumb. Our facilities include a practice green, driving range, pro shop and tavern.
We took over the course in 1989 after it had been closed and in disrepair for years. We started making improvments right away. My husband Bill is the greenskeeper and an avid golfer, so he maintains the course from a golfer's perspective. Our course is above average in slope ratings at 120 - 121 and is well kept. We like to say its the best kept secret in the thumb. My husband is also the High School Golf Coach and is always willing to give out a few pointers. It's not unusual for him to see someone struggling and hop off his tractor while cutting grass to help them out. We also believe that children should learn to golf at an early age and what better place than on a golf course!
We are starting a mentor program designed to help parents teach their children how to golf at an affordable price. Check out our Youth golf link.
